For the past twelve years, I have dedicated myself to the study of visual images. I am interested in finding the best ways to convey the reality of a variety of people, cultures, places, and circumstances through photography and video.

Studying foreign languages and living in foreign cultures has taught me that the best way to understand new situations is to try and experience them for yourself. To me, this means immersing myself in every aspect of my surroundings in order to experience them in the fullest way possible. I have found that this demands openness to new experience, commitment to research, willingness to listen, attention to detail, and ultimately the desire to establish relationships with people, places, products, and ideas.

I then see my work as a photographer and videographer as an extension of these relationships. I don’t think of photos or videos as ends in themselves, but rather as visual expressions of the connections that I make with the world. My work is an invitation for you to make those connections as well.

I started Newbeat Productions as a way of offering my photography and video services to companies, organizations, publications, and individuals who would like visual media that invites the public to make a connection with their products, work, and ideas.
